DEL WEBB OPENS FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD IN ORANGE COUNTY
Coastal Location Offers Baby Boomers Ideal Location, Open Spaces
SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY, CA. – June 27, 2013 – Del Webb is opening its first coastal active adult neighborhood in what is part of the last working ranch in Orange County. The 50-unit Del Webb at Rancho Mission Viejo, which is part of a larger master plan, opens Saturday, June 29 to the public.
“Located just five miles from the beach and boasting territorial views, this new Del Webb community offers a very sought-after Orange County address,” said Linda Mamet, vice president of sales for the company’s Southern California Division.
Mamet said the community is near employment centers in Orange County such as Mission Viejo, historic San Juan Capistrano, and beach towns like Dana Point and San Clemente. “We know there are many baby boomers who plan to still work or want to retire close to where they currently live. This new Del Webb neighborhood offers all the benefits of 55+ living and allows you to have family and friends nearby.”
Encompassing 23,000 acres in South Orange County, the Rancho Mission Viejo master plan is comprised of more than 17,000 acres of permanent open space and approximately 6,000 acres of future residential and mixed-use development. Del Webb at Rancho Mission Viejo is in a gated 55+ enclave of Gavilán, which is located in Sendero, the first residential village to open in the master plan.
Del Webb at Rancho Mission Viejo offers three single-level home designs to choose from starting in the low $800,000s and ranging in size from 2,026 to 2,310 square feet. Nestled at the top of rolling foothills with easy access to parks and trails, homes in the Del Webb neighborhood will be located on one side of the street, offering views and open spaces, Mamet said. She said the Del Webb neighborhood is one of three neighborhoods in the Gavilán enclave and will showcase the largest plans offering the most elevated location.
CONSUMER INSPIRED DESIGNS
Del Webb at Rancho Mission Viejo features three fully furnished model homes that showcase the latest trends in new home design with great room living layouts, gourmet kitchens anchored by oversized kitchen islands and every day entries with convenient drop zones. Ideal for in-home entertaining, covered patios and optional sun or hearth rooms with abundant glass for light and bright living help connect indoor and outdoor living spaces, Mamet said.
The new plans are the result of extensive consumer research and analysis of buyer feedback that better reflect the way boomers live in their homes, Mamet said. She said this latest evolution of floor plans keep true to Del Webb’s focus of designing homes with the homebuyer in mind.
AMENITIES
In addition to the thousands of acres of open space, agricultural and grazing lands and habitat conservation areas, homeowners within the gated Gavilán 55+ enclave have exclusive amenities, as well as access to the many amenities in the larger all-ages Sendero village.
Gavilán’s Hacienda clubhouse features an expansive great room that boasts a rustic hearth, large flat-screen TV and a staffed bar. The yoga studio opens to a private patio, and the fitness center includes lockers, showers and massage room along with cardio and strength-training equipment.
